This book is a compilation of essays on three topics namely Human rights, Gender and Environment. It is a text book typed edition mainly for students undergoing degree or post graduation in social science subjects.

The first section of the book ie,Human Rights provids details about its Meaning, Various laws related with human rights including Universal Declaration Of Human Rights, Institutions for human rights protection, Human rights issues of the marginalised groups, and Human rights movements in India.

The second part is on Gender. It discusses about Patriarchy and its impacts, Masculine and Feminine culture, Women in devolopement, Various issues related with the women participation in Development, Laws of Women rights, and  Women's movements in India.
